A daily dose of vicarious crafting
I know, I know. I posted a ton of bags last week, but I cannot get enough of this fantastic tote bag from those geniuses over at design*sponge. It pushes all my buttons in the best possible way.
They posted a great tutorial on how to make your own, following their simple pattern. I am utterly in love with that appliqué! It’s so simple but it’s perfectly captures a cross-section of root veggies still growing in the ground. I’d love to make one using some chocolaty brown, tweedy suit material for the “soil” and a pale blue canvas for the “sky.” Man, that would be so great!
I started this blog after I realized that I spend way more time looking at crafty things than making crafty things, a practice I’ve dubbed crafterbation. I wanted create an outlet to share all the great crafty things I find that I would love to make, if only I had the time and the motivation to actually complete them. When the mood strikes and I do actually make something, you can read about that here as well.

I love your idea for that bag! Can completely see how that ground would just pop with a blue sky.
